Taba ng Talangka with Buttered Rice

What makes any grilled dish a crowd-pleaser? Taba ng talangka and delicious buttered rice on the side! This crab fat sautéed with garlic definitely adds flavor to any inihaw dish. Don’t get too excited though and eat smart, as this crab fat is packed with lots of cholesterol.

Ingredients :

8 servings
For Taba ng Talangka
2 tbsp Butter
2 clove Garlic, minced
1 Bottle Taba ng talangka
2 pc Calamansi, juiced
For Buttered Rice
8 cup Day-old white rice
.5 cup Butter
Sea salt, to season

Procedures :

for Taba ng Talangka

    Over a medium heat, melt butter and sauté garlic.

    Before garlic changes color, add taba ng talangka and sauté lightly for a minute then turn off heat and set aside.

for Buttered Rice

  • 1
    Over a medium flame, preferably on a non-stick pan, melt butter and add rice. Sauté or toss rice in butter until evenly coated and slightly toasted. Season with sea salt to taste.
