Pastillas De Leche

Ingredients :

0.25 cup Sugar
2.5 cup Fresh milk
1 tsp Lime zest, cut into thin strips
1.5 tbsp Unsalted butter, softened
0.5 cup Powdered milk
1 cup White sugar
3 x 3 inch Paper candy wrappers

Procedure :

    Combine sugar, milk and zest in a pot and simmer over medium heat until a paste is achieved. Stir constantly.

    Add the butter and powdered milk and whisk mixture until slightly browned and toasted. Set aside and allow to cool.

    Divide mixture into 4 portions and roll each into cylinders about the thickness of a finger. Cut 1 1/2 to 2 inch pieces out of each cylinder. Roll each piece in sugar and wrap each one in paper.
